  “I still like MISTLETOE MAN as my favorite of the China Bayles series, but this runs a very close second, if not an actual tie. This one has China leaving Pecan Springs on a retreat to get some relaxation time after the Christmas holiday rush. She finds herself invited for other reasons, however. There is unrest at St Theresa's Monastery due to unexplained fires and two deaths. And an old flame from China's past......”
