Judging a book by its cover isnt necessarily a bad thing . After researching the author i found out, among other things, that he was put in jail (many times) most notably by napoleon bonaparte for stirring up controversy on his theories of hedonism and his libertine tendancies. And any author that is controversial enough to be put in jail is worth the read.

Dear Friend, "Theres is no taboo" De Sade. What can I say .... I was curious. Leaving the other (ahem) shocking parts of the book behind, we see a philosophy that is totally different from anything that we have been taught and lived. A philosophy without morals and boundaries. It is no great suprised that De Sade was put into a mental institution in that time with France being a devout Catholic etc. What really interested me is how morality, religion etc can be set aside with the...
