“I really am enjoying this series and Sanderson has done a great job of not letting the story lax. Even some of my favorite authors have points where you want to skip a page or to to get back on to the story. Mistborn is not this way. His battle scenes are terrific and again he keeps things interesting by adding a few unexpected twists and turns here or there. This is a wonderful sequel, he has done a good job with his character development and it is nice to see Vin grow and get comfortable in her skin and the relationship between her and Eland waiver and resolve, like any normal relationship. I think I realized it was a good series when we were driving in the car, I'm reading and yell "No Vin! Don't do it! Listen to the semi invisible spirit!" haha... i got a strange look from the hub, but I was obviously drawn into the story.”

The development of the characters since the first book is great and the consequences of the events in that book played out here are upsetting but captivating”

I have to say the first book of all series is always the best; this book really did not fulfill what I expected. But, the book was still good and revealed a lot more about the entire situation in the book. This entire series is essentially about defeating a horrible world to create, in a sense, an utopian world. A lot of fantasy books that I've read really does encompass a chosen one trying to achieve a perfect world and desire for peace. (500 pages)”

I can't stop reading them and if I only had the time I would read them much more often!”

The plot twists and turns so the end of the book is far from what you thought would happen at the begining of the book. I'm glad I read it and now I'm on to the third book.”

Sanderson's twists and turns take his characters and readers by surprise. I didn't think it could get any better than the first but I was happily proven wrong. Now. . . how long until the 3rd volume comes in on inter-library loan?!?!”
