“I really liked this one, I almost gave it up because I didn't think I would like a story about a love between a special needs person and a much older "normal" person. I learned a lot about myself. I read this many years ago.”

Trials and tribulations ensue. You can read it in an afternoon.”

Lucky me. It was all I remebered it to be. I don't usually go for romance but this was much deeper and supstancial. I kept having thoughties of the lovely young Mel Gibson who played Tim so well. I'd love to see the movie again now...! Yes read it...wont take you long.”

I decided to read it because I like The Thornbirds so much, but was disappointed. It is about a romance between an older woman and a retarded but handsome younger man. Didn't quite appeal to me.”

I felt like a lot of the dialogue in this book was superfluous; it dragged at some points. But all of the feeling in the end, all of the emotion gathered around all of the characters - it was incredible. I loved all of the characters and I loved the Australian context of the book. I think I liked McCullough's "Ladies of Missalonghi" better, but in a romance perspective, this one was so much deeper and meaningful.”
