I do love paranormal romances very much because the authors create this totally different world that is similar to our own world. But these worlds these authors create are filled with all these paranormal creatures that we only think is myth but are totally real in paranormal romances. I know that author Jessica Coulter Smith loves to read paranormal romances so when she writes paranormal romances are what she ends up creating. I had her guest blog yesterday on Talk About My Favorite Authors about her current release Moonlight Protector, which is the first book of her Ashton Grove Werewolves series. I also will be posting my interview with her tomorrow so check back tomorrow on Talk About My Favorite Authors to find out more about Jessica's writing and about some of her hobbies and favorite authors. Today I will be reviewing her first book in her new series called Moonlight Protector and what a nice read that was for me.

Cole Andrews is a biologist by trade but he is also a werewolf by blood that has been passed down for generations through the female of the family. Cole is tired of being alone and wants to finally find his mate so he can start the family he has been thinking of starting soon. He and his two brothers live in the large Victorian home that had belonged to their parents and the car garage across from their home is the family business that has helped them keep their nice home. Cole's older brother Gabriel is the alpha of their pack and his twin brother Michael is the irresponsible brother who is a playboy. Now that Cole’s in his thirties, he’s starting to give up hope about ever finding his mate and the one woman who would make him happy. He’s already seen all of the women available in his small town of Ashton Grove and so far none of them are have given him the vibe that they are "the one" for him.

Now Marin Thomas, the heorine of this novel, is fleeing for her life after being abducted and held hostage. She is now determined to escape the maniac once and for all because she can't take anymore of his abuse. Stealing his car, she travels as far and as fast as she can—until a car accident lands her in some woods near Ashton Grove, Georgia. This is where things get very interesting for Marin as well as for Cole and his two brothers. Fighting for her very life, she finds herself begging a wolf for help and that wolf is going to be just what Marin needs right now. Here are some questions that were going through my head as I started reading this novel. Is Marin the mate that Cole has been waiting for? Or will she end up with one of his brothers? One sniff tells Gabriel, the alpha of the pack, that she belongs to his pack but he doesn't know who she is supposed to end up with. The only question that remains is who will win her heart? This last question was one that I enjoyed finding out as I read and finished this novel because it lead me through so many emotional scenes as well as exciting scenes. After finishing this novel I really wanted to e-mail Jessica and tell her to finish up writing the next book in the series because I want to know more about Cole's brothers Gabriel and Michael and how they end up with their own mates. This is one of those books that I will recommend to any paranormal romance readers out there to really check out as soon as possible you won't regret it.
