Kristina Georgia Snow is the perfect daughter: gifted high school junior, quiet, never any trouble. but on a trip to visit her absentee father, Kristina disappears and Bree, an alternate personality to Kristina, takes her place. Bree is the exact opposite of Kristina--she's fearless.

Through a boy, Bree meets the monster: crank. and what begins as a wild, ecstatic ride turns into a struggle through hell for her mind, her soul-her life.

Kristina goes to New Mexico to see her father. When she goes, the first night she meets a boy named Adam. They are instantly attracted to each other. One night, Adam shows Kristina or "Bree" crank, the monster. She says she has never felt this amazing in her life. She and Adam begin a romance until she has to go back to Nevada to be with her mother, stepfather, gay sister, and brother. However, she brings the addiction with her. She meets two boys named Brendan and Chase. They both have connections to the monster. She is so desperate for crank that she lets Brendan rape her. Chase and Kristina bond more and more and they eventually fall in love. Her addiction to crank grows when she makes friends with Robyn, a sister of Trent (a former friend of Kristina). Robyn has connections to drugs, and teaches Kristina how to smoke it. Weeks pass and she finds out she is pregnant. Chase is sure it is his baby, so he proposes to her. She finds out at the doctors office that Brendan was the father. Kristina turns down the proposal so she won't ruin Chase's life. Chase goes off to California for college and writes to her from time to time. Kristina keeps the baby and her parents help her raise it. She named it Hunter Seth. Kristina ends it with believing Bree will always be a part of her, and her addiction to crank will always be with her as well. But for now, she has quit the monster to love and take care of the baby.

The book, Glass is a sequel to Crank. It explains what happens after she gives birth to Hunter Seth.

  • Bree: The other side of Kristina. Brings trouble into Kristina's life and loves doing crank
  • Adam Kristina: Kristina's first love who she met while visiting with her father. He introduces Bree (Kristina) to the monster.
  • Chase Wagner: One of Kristina's boyfriends.
  • Brendan: One of Kristina's boyfriends, who on a crank fulled mind rapes Her.
  • Robyn: Trent's sister. Is a Cheerleader. Loves the monster. Was raped trying to get the monster. Kristina's friend. Gives Bree the monster
  • Scott: Kristina's Step-Dad
  • Bree: Kristina's other half. Her "bad" half, that takes over when needed.
  • Leigh: Kristina's sister. Is a lesbian. Heather's girlfriend.
  • Sarah: Kristina's childhood best friend.
  • Grandma: Kristina's Grandma. She is falling into dementia, but loves her all the same.
  • Trent: Robyn's brother. Kristina and Sarah's friend. Is gay
  • Heather: She is a cheerleader.
  • Kristina: takes drugs and has a problem with it, she goes back in forth between her and her father.
  • Adam: He is Kiristina's first love. She meets him when she is at her dad's for the simmer. He is the one who starts the love affair with the monster. He will allways be with kristina in more ways than one. He feels that it is too hard to live up to the name of Adam, so he calls himself Buddy.
  • Chase: Chase is Kristina's other hook up back home for the monster. Unlike Adam, Chase comes from money and has manners. Kristina ends up falling in love with Chase fast.
  • Adam: The boy who is neighbors with Kristina's father in Albequerque. He introduced her to love, and crystal meth.
  • Chase: Kristina's boyfriend. The boy her mom and stepfather actually like. He promises to always love her and he even asks her to marry him.
  • Brendan: Is a boy who wen kristina get back from her summer at dad's is her new hook up for the monster. He is the one who gets Kristina high and then rapes her when she has no idea of the event that is taking place. He is the scum bag of the book and my least favorite character of the entire novel.
  • Kristina Snow: Kristina is a very gifted highschool junior. Everything in her life seems to be going extremely well. Unily one summer she goes to visit her father and her life rapidly spirals out of control.
  • Bree: This is Kristina's alter ego she is a horrable side of kristina that is selfish and blunt. She is the one who makes Nice little Kristina into the monstor she will become. This is one of my least favorite characters in the novel.
  • Jake: Kristinas little brother
  • Olivia: Very intensely descriptive book, all written in poetry.
  • Kristina (Bree): Before Kristina tried crank she was a straight A student that was a perfect, goody-goody daughter that never did anything wrong. But after a trip to her father's house, she tried crank and Bree, her other half, came out and took over her brain. She now lies, cheats, steals, and gets in trouble with not only her parents, but the authority. After trying crank Kristina went so far down hill that there is no way she's coming back.

  • Kristina: Kristina is a good girl who gets caught up hanging with the wrong crowd.
  • Bree: Bree is Kristinas alter ego that she uses while doing inappropriate things.
