This is a very easy read that I finished in about three sittings. It's very well-written and kept me wondering more (even though I already knew the outcome!) Tina Zahn gives a great background about herself and what led to her depression prior to her marriage and postpartum. It's uplifting, to say the least!

LOVED IT!! If you have ever felt even the tiniest amount of depression or ever known a woman who suffered from this disease I highly recommend this book.

It had to have taken this woman a lot of balls to write this book. I am glad she did. Post-partum depression is very serious and if you are a mother and think you couldn't ever be in her shoes, you are wrong. Mom's need to look out for each other and take care of each other. Being a Mom is the hardest job ever!

Strange as it is, I am just a tad interested in other women's stories of depression. :-) I've read a few, and oftentimes I am left feeling more depressed than when I started it. I know that it might be obvious to others that if you read a book about depression, you might end up feeling a bit depressed, too. For me, it is like connecting to other people like me, reading those words on paper that I can't seem to express myself about the feelings I've encountered while being depressed. Every once in a while I'll find a book that does both that and also instills hope in me too. This is one of those books. It's a fast, easy reader. I was impressed with her ability to talk frankly and openly about the abuse she suffered without going into the unnecessary, gory details. I think some people feel it necessary for others to understand abuse to hear every little awful detail, but I think it's just as effective to talk about it without going into those minute details that end up hurting and putting more pictures in your brain than you ever wanted there in the first place. I was also impressed with her relationship with God and how she gives credit to not only the medications, doctors, and therapy, but the relationship with our Savior as part of her healing process.
