“I gave this 5 stars for a young adult fiction novel. It's a particularly good action novel for guys. It doesn't talk down to the reader.
Even though it's far-fetched to imagine a government agency recruiting a teen, it somehow works. The British locale makes it very James Bond-ish!”
“This book is about Alex Rider who is an ordenary kid. Or so he thought. He was unknowingly being trained to be a spy by his uncle. He gets recruited to M16 and goes onn a mission for them. If you like action and spies, you should read this.”Gabe A wrote this review Monday, November 24, 2008. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“This is a great book for any one that likes an adventure. This book has alot of action and great characters. This boy who's name is Alex finds out his uncle was a spy for m-16, and not a banker. He ends up being recruited as a spy and investigates a new computer called "STORM BREAKER" that is to good to be true. This leads him on a exciting adventure which i cant describe, you have to read it for yourself.--brandonj--”throop enrichment wrote this review Monday, November 24, 2008. “This was the first of the Alex Rider series and what the first book in a series is supposed to do is capture your interest to read the other books. This book completed that task and I loved this book and was one of my all-time favorites. I hope more people get into this series.”warriorslax23 wrote this review Wednesday, November 19, 2008. “Another great book series. I would recomend this book series to anyone and everyone. I also like Horowitz's Gatekeepers series, and am curently reading the third one.
“this series is just one of my favorites, the idea of a fourteen year old as a spy and all the places he can sneak into. Its also filled with different twists and turns. ”Kourtney wrote this review Wednesday, November 12, 2008. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“The first book in the Alex Rider series, I went through this book SO FAST! Very catching and witty, this kid will NEVER die. Throughly enjoyed it because I think it would be really cool to be in Alex's position and witnessing secret agent things. (This does not mean I would sign up to be like him, not a chance!) Who says the world doesn't need another James Bond?”Amy M wrote this review Tuesday, November 11, 2008. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“Overall, it was a very good book. The details were excellent. I love all the scenarios, which are very fun to picture (jellyfish scene) and there is a lot of action and the story is very well written.
