Very fun, and has Alister Crowley as a crazy villain, not to mention Pirate Jenny from the threepenny Opera. Awesome!

i love the works, and love the look/feel and everything about them, but I didn't think it was as strong as the previous novels and wasn't feeling the storyline. Sorry.

Will definately read the next one too though!

I absolutely adored the original League graphic novel, so I was a little disappointed by this one. The reliance on what appears to be Threepenny Opera tunes, in addition to the desperate attempt to draw together so many threads in such a small space amounts to a heaping gob of confusion. A bit of editing, more polished artwork, and a more streamlined overall mystery would have made this another epic installment. As it is, it’s just average.

A leap and bound from it's preceding entries in content but not quality this latest work from comic wunderkind Alan Moore is puzzling. It all but abandons the structure, humour and even characters of the first two brilliant volumes and replaces them with Brechtian attacks on the fourth wall and little else. It is a daring move and one currently unsuccessful despite still being a technically brilliant piece but i have faith in Moore and trust that by the volumes end i will be sold on this. This book is then not just a leap, but a leap of faith.

It's Alan Moore so it pains me to say I didn't like it, but I didn't. You have to have a near-encyclopedic knowledge of obscure fictional characters to "enjoy" the League these days. Seriously, I needed an annotation to tell me who most of the people were. How fun is that?

Part one of a three part story. I didn't like the text peace much, but perhaps that is because the whole Blaing World and references to same always falls a little flat for me.

Another superb story by Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill. This series, from the first book on, has been excellent.
