I though the movie was much, much better. They made it move faster in the movie by adding cool things like the key to the generator that clips together, and the giant bugs, and having the characters talk like real people. I liked the idea, but I didn't think it was very well done. The writing and...

I liked the idea, but I didn't think it was very well done. The writing and descriptions didn't flow very nicely.
I loved the plot and all that, but it was kind of boring.

I really liked this book. It was so interesting to think that maybe our world could be like that but that thought kinda scared me. It was really fast paced and something always happened I loved the mystery and the ending. Great book!

The City of Ember is the first "book of Ember" and will become a full length film on October 10th 2008. I have heard from a trusted advisor that books two and three are unnecessary and that the first book should be left alone as a complete story. From what I hear, she is right. Opinion: Somehow, though this book takes place in the small city of Ember until the very end and is written in a simple, modern style, it kept my attention well. I enjoyed it more during the read than looking...”so read the book.

Humans has, as always, a way of surviving and finding their way out when they really opt to it. But as always in any civilization corrupt people will emerge and most of the time they are the one holding the power. And as always, we tend to forget to listen to children, when they in fact has s crystal clear hearts thats supposed tobe trusted all the time.
