cute funny romantic romp ... I easily identified with food temptation ... rather low on sensuality scale

Much better than week 1's book, Agnes and the Hitman. Bet Me is fun, hard to put down, and has lots of fun characters. Minerva Dobbs and Calvin Morrisey are complete opposites. Min is an actuary who works for the same insurance company her father works for, Cal started his own business with his two best friends. They wind up going out on a date as the result of a bet and despite their best intentions, wind up in a relationship. Cal's two best friends like Min's two best friends so fate keeps throwing them together. Also thrown into the mix is Min's jealous ex-boyfriend, Cal's scheming clueless psychologist ex-girlfriend, a strange looking cat named Elvis, Chicken Marsala, an adorable charming nephew, and not-exactly-supportive families. Despite all the odds, Min and Cal fall in love and the last chapter is a cute wrap-up of all the characters (one of those in case you were wondering...chapters).

Fun Romantic comedy. Great friendships. Made me long to see an old Hugh Grant movie.

Better than the average romance. It was a fun, easy read with interesting twists and characters.
