“Reporter Dennie Banks is attending a Literature Conference to get the scoop on a story that could change her career. Alec Prentice is at the same conference trying to catch a con man in the act of stealing innocent people's life savings. He believes Dennie is an accomplice and is trying to get close to her. Dennie needs to talk to Alec's Aunt Victoria, a key speaker at the conference, so she pretends to be interested in Alec. No one knows who to trust.
Older Jennifer Crusie story. My rating: 3.5 Stars.”
“Short, sweet novella. Very simple but enjoyable story. Not a great read, but a good way to pass the time if your are waiting in a long line. It is not as strong a story nor as well rounded as the typical Crusie novels, but the characters and the leading ladies certainly have the spunk we've come to know and love. ”
