Yes | No“Easily the most dark and disturbing books of the three in the series, The Book of D'ni is about a civilization far greater in scale and development than the D'ni itself, albeit there are serious connections between these two civilizations.
And with great civilizations, there are likely to be huge exchanges for what helped built it into something so enormous. It eventually becomes Atrus and Catherine's goal to expose what terrible secrets this place has. In this sense, I really enjoyed how objective this book was. It has some nice adventure and mystery aspects to it, and like all other Myst books, the visuals are incredible. Just trying to imagine some of the locations in this book strained my imagination, but in a good way.
It was a nice book to end the series with. Since reading the last book, I can fairly say that my interest in Myst (both the games and books) have dwindled considerably. But it was all very nice and memorable while it lasted. I would still recommend this book to anyone new to the series. ”
“Beautifully written for beautifully written Ages, a great tale for great characters. The culmination of Atrus' eternal question: What do you see?”

And if I were forced to pick a favorite, this would have to be it. It's an amazing story that really makes you think. The characters are developed very well and, like the others, it's just fun to read!”

For those who arent familiar with the computer games, it might be kind of hard for them to sit through. But it was a great story, and for a hard-core fan like myself it is classic.”
