Witchling

by Yasmine Galenorn

Meet the D'Artigo sisters: half-human, half-faerie, they're savvy-and sexy-operatives for the Otherworld Intelligence Agency. But their mixed-blood heritage short-circuits their talents at all the wrong times. Delilah shapeshifts into a tabby cat whenever she's stressed. Menolly's a vampire who's still trying to get the hang of being undead. And Camille is a wicked-good witch, except her... (read more)

This is the beginning of a truly enjoyable trilogy. Each book focuses on one of three sisters living in Seattle. These sisters are from OtherWorld, or OW. One is a vampire, one is a witch, one is a were-cat. None of them have complete control of their powers due to being half-human and the vampire sister is newly vamped as of 11 years ago, so still getting used to her powers, going so far as to attend VA, Vamps Anonymous. They have been tasked to fight the good fight against the demons who want to take over Earth and, ultimately, OtherWorld. Super fun to read.

This book is very exciting I think. My favorite sister is Menolly, then Delilah aka Tabby, then Camille. Menolly, is my favorite I think because shes the strong silent type. She's not much of a speaker. This one book is about the oldest sister Camille, she is in love with this guy named Trillian...... Hes not human but neither is the other guy she likes. Hes a fox demon. Well, that is enough for now

    A Magical Treat!

There's nothing better on a cold winter day than a cup of steaming cocoa and a good book WITCHLING definitely qualifies as a good book--one of the best of 2006. And if reading about Camille D'Artigo and her sisters' exploits doesn't get your blood pumping, well you'd better watch out because Moenolly might want a snack. (She's very neat about it, though.)

The book is set in contemporary greater Seattle area and features the three D'Artigo sisters who are half human and half fae. Each has a special gift although because they're half-bloods, their gifts aren't exactly reliable. Camille is a witch, Delilah shapeshifts to a kitty, and Menolly is a vamp. The sisters work for the Otherworld Intelligence Agency and must find another operative's murderer. But when the murder turns into three--demons, that is, things get a little exciting. I really don't want to say much about the plot because each chapter is a discovery, and the reader will want to make that discovery himself.

Who doesn't like murder, suspense, dragons, demons, and a baby gargoyle, all mixed in with a good dose of humor? WITCHLING is an exciting, compelling read. The worldbuilding is incredible and the characters are spellbinding, no pun intended. I heartily recommend this book and am eagerly looking forward to the next in the Sisters of the Moon series, CHANGELING.

If you like Kim Harrison, You'll love this book. I'll be honest, I didn't care much for the sex sceans; but I loved the plot. Its a good page turner that leaves you wanting more information on its heroines. Hopefully we will learn more as time goes by with a book series like this. I was looking for another author to tive me over between books and boy did i find it. I already bought the next book "changeling" and will be starting it at weeks end- maybe. Well don't believe me - go read it your self.

I LOVED this book, and have already started the next one in the series (changeling). The characters were so well developed and interesting, and it was full of action and there were even some parts that made me laugh out loud. I am so looking forward to the next book in the series... Darkling (out January 2008)

The Witchling is about the three half-human, half-Faerie D'Artigo sisters. The three Otherworld Intelligence Agents are sent to work earthsise. It is not long before three demon scouts show up earthside looking for spirit seals to take over both worlds. A great read, more Urban Fantacy than Paranormal Romance in my opinion. I can't wait for the next book in the series Changeling (june 5, 2007)

Pretty good series involving witches, vampires, and other supernaturals. I can't help but be intrigues by the dragon! These three sisters are FBI agents for the supernatural community. Turns out a big bad is trying to get loose from Hell, and these sisters are the only thing stopping him. Good read.

I was expecting this book to really reel me in from the start. I was sadly mistaken. It took me awhile to actually get into this book. The plot itself was great, I just didn't seem to like the main character Camille very much. I can't really figure out why, there wasn't much wrong with her, I just...well didn't like her, lol. I am going to continue reading this series, because I have the next 3 in it, I hope it gets better soon.

I enjoyed this book. It was a good start to a new series. I enjoyed the dynamics between the sisters.
However, when I started I thought it was a trilogy but, since a 4th book is now out, I know it's not. It would appear to be 9 books (3 focusing on each sister) since they are looking for 9 spirit seals.
