I was slightly wary that this one has garnered all this praise and acclaim merely because it is Sagan's last, but by the time I'd put the book down, all my doubts had been dispelled. Granted, it's different from most others in his spectacular writing career, but that is precisely what makes it required reading (if you believe in such a thing as a required reading).
