I picked up this book when I came to know that each student at Stanford Uni's Convocation was given a copy of it by Oprah ( rather odd). The book is about how each individual can change the earth by individually changing their own behavior. This book is really dense and philosophical. At times I got lost and wondered what the author is talking about. The book does have some pearls of wisdom though. Chapters on "Ego" and "Finding who you truly are ?" are something completely different and interesting. The author conveys a good message; but says it in 309 pages :P.So pick it up if you have the patience.

Not as accessible as some of the other current writers influences by Buddhist thought and practice, but Tolle makes no apologies for challenging his readers to create a new world. Ideas about mindfulness and ego are presented. Worth a read.

Loved it and hated it at the same time...if that makes sense. I agreed with many of the ideas but also disagreed with a lot as well.
