“Have heard that Oprah was supposed to be named after Orpah in the book of Ruth in the Bible. However, there was some miscommunication in the spelling. Don't know if that is true. Does anyone know? Orpah was Ruth's sis-in-law that returned to her family after her husband died.I do not read a lot of Oprah's picks--some are New Age, others just do not interest me.”
