    Check out page 102.

My mom always said that when we are suffering, we should endure it as best as we can and offer it up to God, like a sacrifice.

“Suffering is caused (by the ego) and (at the same time) it erodes the ego.”

If you fight the suffering and complain about it, you feed the ego.
I you accept it, or “offer it up”, then the endurance of the suffering will start destroying the ego.

Don't read this on an airplane. It can confuse people.
Well, it confused the annoying fellow on my recent Seattle flight. I'll tell you more about it later after I type it onto a note pad. I have to get to sleep now- while reading more of this great book.

This book is phenomenal. As a person living with chronic pain i often found myself asking why me. This book has provided the answers i needed to start the healing process. It has helped me to live in the moment and to curb my ego and recognize the ego in others. This book is a must read for all humanity.

I, too am doing the online class with Oprah and Eckhart. And I have to agree with Tonnie. It's just been one "Aha!" moment after another and I know I will never be the same after reading the book. It has changed me fundamentally!

This book has got me saying "Wow!" and "Exactly!" and "Aha!" as I read each sentence/paragraph. This is a total "Must Read" for Anybody and Everybody. I feel the need to pass it on to all my family and friends.

I am reading this now and enjoying it. I'm finding a lot of his observations and insights resonating with me. Those that don't aren't distracting or disturbing to me. As robin g says below - "take away what is helpful and leave the rest." I recommend it.

Yes, please read this book! The Power of Now was esoteric. Hard to apply in real life. I applied this one at least 5 times today as I traveled from one city to another. Very useful to remind your self that we're all here together - with no choice, but we're one. Remember that song, now. Thanks to Bono. It's true thoughl

I have just bought this book but I'm already liking what I'm reading. I also signed up for the classes with Oprah and Eckhart to discuss this book. I'll be able to comment more when I get further into the book.
