“This book worked reasonably well as a pop-psychology history book, but it struck me as really rather bad at explaining the origin of the equation. It didn't talk about the search for the ether, and it made it seem like the process of coming up with the equation was akin to selecting a suitable outfit, where one looked at the various terms possible and chose those that would look good together, rather than working from set principles to derive the equations. The latter half of the book became better, but the beginning was bad. How can you explain the derivation of special relativity without even looking at the Michelson Morley experiment?”

Talks simplistically and in an organised way about the equation and little else.Real life analogies will help relate to parts of Einstein's equation. Reminded me a bit of Simon Singh's writing style-am not complaining:)
Warning- don't approach it as a geeky book.”
