It's an inspiring book nonetheless painful as it makes you think about the millions of people who suffer from this same illness. It is wonderful to see how a human spirit can be so strong as to fight death and live on to tell the tale.

I don't read autobiographies too much, but this one was hard to put down. Mixing the excitement and thrills that are part of a cyclist's life with the trials and tribulations that are part and parcel of a recovering cancer patient's, this book makes you look at this disease and the survivors in a new light. Sure, Armstrong is pretty eccentric, but aren't all gifted people?

An exceptionally good read. On of the best autobiographies I've read. Kinda puts it in perspective ala Dodgeball the movie
