It is an absorbing but frightening novel. This book provides a deeply touching insight into the world of Irak and the conditions of its oppressed inhabitants. Beginning in Beirut, the first pages are tell-tale signs of the elegiac ending of the story. as i read about the author that he never visited Iraq!!
i just wonder, can he feel the same feelings of Iraqis??! or he just imposes his view of point based from his background as Algerian!!
