“like a slightly more updated writing style of the Hornblower classics. The hero Thomas Kydd working his way through the ranks. It's a very tried and trusted recipe but nonetheless still enjoyable for anyone who enjoys the smell of the briny sea and is secretly glad that they no longer draw and quarter or use the cat o'nine tails.”
