I LOVE Lynn Kurland. She does character development like few others and I will reread all the book I have of hers. This is one of my favorite

I was about to quit my quest to read Lynn Kurland after what I thought was a fluff-filled book of hers I just read, but I picked this one up anyway out of curiosity, and so far so good.

This book was great! ...until about 300 pages in. Then, it dragged on until I put it down. ...50 pages before the end. I'd still recommend it to those who want a nice entertaining read on vacation, e.g. But dare I read anymore Lynn Kurland? I know multi-published authors reach a point where their editors publish them "on-trust," but Lynn (et al), please stop cramming fluff down my throat just because your publisher requires you to fill 400 pages.

Colin of Berkhamshire, the butcher is a wonderful character who can't seem to find a bride. They come up with all sorts of excuses why they can't marry him. Alinore is no different, but through a twist of fate becomes the "knight" of his most recent bride and falls in love with him. A great comedy/romance/medieval book! I've only read it 8 or 9 times!
