Liked It“This story was very cute yet romantic at the same time. It had some good action sequences and funny sarcastic lines. Plus, it gave a lot of insight into Acheron, Artemis and Apollymi. I cried in several parts of the book.” see full review » see other reviews » |
Didn’t Like It“I enjoyed the pseudo-Greek myth like world Kenyon has created in this book and the book series as a whole. The over the top descriptions of the men and their assets gets tedious and after a while what Kenyon writes starts to all sound the same.” see full review » see other reviews » |

This was something new since the hero was a Sumerian ex-god, a fertility one at that, whose godhood was stripped from him. He had a very interesting background, and technically he's not a Dark-Hunter. Reading about him made me refresh my memory on ancient civilization. It's not difficult to love his character and he's well-matched with Katra, another character I love. It's fun to read their sarcastic banter and some witty humor. I was highly entertained. The secondary characters, especially Kish and Damien added to the fun.
The story was engaging, the part that really lured me in was Katra's relationship with Acheron. This story was filled with familial warmth and we see Acheron as a father figure because he's really Kat's dad. I was really touched with their moments and I loved Acheron's pieces of advice to Kat. I also loved the developments and the story was refreshing. It's ironic how Kat's the one who actually drained Sin's powers and she turned out to be the one he can't live without. Even though their love story happened in a short time frame, it seemed long enough.
I really liked the sex scenes too they were really hot, and the shower scene was sizzling. This is one of my few favorites in this series and I'll definitely read it again. By the way, Artemis really has a way with words, one wrong delivery made Acheron reject Katra. I don't know if Sherrilyn Kenyon intended it as a laughing matter but I really found it funny when she said "I have a baby for you" when she meant "I have your baby". That's stupid but I guess it was meant to be like that.”
“Dark Hunter: " A souless guardian who stands between mankind and those who would see mankind destroyed" SK "Dance With The Devil"
Sin is an ex-god turned dark hunter who wants to find a way to reagin his powers so he can have his revenge on the goddess that caused his downfall, Artemis.
Kat is the daughter of Artemis. She is called upon by her mother to do a mission with Sin.
Revenge is at the top of Sin's list but the mission at hand is a much bigger problem that needs to be dealt with first. Sin and Kat must fight together against the lethal gallu of demons that only Sin can stop. That is unless they kill each other first.”
