This book is a great ready and is focused heavily on "White Space," an under appreciated element in design or in some cases, misunderstood. The book defines design, touches on every element in design such as alignment, proximity, place and placement.

It explains what is white space, it's function and how it's often misunderstood and used as wasted space.

This is a great book for those starting out in design and want to understand the basics of design to the advanced.
