Another book in the Postsecret series. This was not as heart wrenching as the first one I read.

    Excerpts:

"I think I'd enjoy life on a deserted island........because almost everybody gets on my nerves"

"I believe in my childhood dreams"

"I'm a cheerleader. But secretly, I deal drugs"

"If I charged the people I babysit for by the SCREAM, I'd be rich"

"Thought I'm afraid you'll never speak to me again......I'm pretty sure I'm better off that way"

"My favorite part about working at Lego Land is destyroying all of the buildings that little kids create"

Simply awesome. It's amazing how many secrets you have, untold, you find.

I was asked to read at least one PostSecret book by the minister at my church, in preparation for being the Worship Associate for a service in late March that will have to do with secrets. So, this is my first PostSecret book, and I found it to be intriguing, sad, funny, and insightful. Read in a different mood, I might have found the artwork distracting, but this time I didn't mind it.

Some of my favorite secrets in this book:

*I anonymously mail e.e. cummings poems to people.
*When I was a kid I thought I was someone special. Now I'm not so sure.
*I don't remember when jumping on the bed stopped being fun, but I dream of returning to such carefree days...
*I recorded my cat meowing on a minicassette and hid it in the school library on "play."

Frank Warren's amazing collection of secret postcards, sent from around the world, show readers that sometimes, not everyone is who they seem. The collections are astounding, sharing secrets that involve love, lust, sexuality, personality, despair, and hope. Reading Frank's postcards will have you immediately wondering what secrets you have never told and want to get off your chest.

At first you just want to jump right in, because 'hey!' who doesn't want to read and pry into secrets? But there is some intense secret revealing in here, some funny, some sad, and some haunting.
Be ready, be prepared- they are confessions straight from the hearts of strangers.
