“Not a bad read, but not really one of my favorites. It deals well with the divergence of young and old, of the "vivid" and the ones steeped in routine. It also includes a lot of other random cyberpunk ideas tucked in the corners, like postcanine talking dogs and memory palaces. I connected well with the main character, Mia, but whenever one of her friends went on some idealistic, rebellious, "against the status quo" rant I wanted to strangle them. It starts out pretty strong, but then kind of tapers off. Still, worth picking up if you need something new.”

As they point out, it's a good read if you like Big Ideas novels, not so good if you're looking for deeply drawn characters. I found the Big Ideas worthwhile and overlooked the flatness of Maya and the rotating cast of European Sterotypes.”
