Decent future internet thriller, definitely entertaining for a flight or otherwise...

Like William Gibson, Bruce Sterling's latest novel is about the current post-9/11 world. But while Gibson's novel focused on paranoia and the technology that could be keeping track of us, Sterling's novel focused on the imperfect world of computer security and to a lesser extant, the satellites hovering over our heads. While Sterling touches on some neat ideas and characters, he never follows through, leaving me feel like the book's only half completed.

I've enjoyed previous novels by Sterling - he rivals William Gibson. While this one is not his best, it's still pretty darn good. Abrupt ending, though.

for Sterling I thought this was a miss. Interesting ideas and characters that were somehow wrong. Like the pices of a puzzle bent and unable to fit together.
