Excellent, original and morbidly funny. You gotta love the serial killer killing serial killer. One of my recent favorites!

I enjoyed the book, but prefer the show. Worth a read at least.

I would say that this book is definitely worth the read. And I would say that comparing the book to the tv series is like comparing apples to oranges. In my opinion, the book is dexter in his purist form--a sociopathic monster without feelings. Whereas the tv series gives dexter emotions and makes him a different character all together. The tv show is good but if you want the real stuff then I suggest the book.
