This was truly inspirational. Woman who are faced with all types of challenges rise to the occasion. I laughed, cried, and felt inspired by the many stories. Eleanor Roosevelt said it best. "If you want to know how strong a woman is, put in your hot water." I might not have that exactly, but...

"If you want to know how strong a woman is, put in your hot water." I might not have that exactly, but the sentiment is the same. A great book for all woman and men who love them.

There are many ways to define a woman: daughter, mother, wife, professional, friend, student... We are each special and unique, yet we share a common connection. What bonds all women are our mutual experiences of loving and learning: feeling the tenderness of love; forging lifelong friendships; pursuing a chosen career; giving birth to new life; juggling the responsibilities of job and family

It was just alright. I liked only a couple of stories out of the whole book. For me it didn't have enough about women and their trials and tribulations. To me it seemed there were more stories about men and religion/religious experiences than anything else. So it didn't really do anything for me. There were a couple of stories that touched my heart and I will carry with me always, but that was really about it.

The book includes heart warming and highly motivating stories and unravels the strength of women in all aspects of life, be it for their own survival, inculcating courage and strength of character in their children or filling every relationship with love, beauty, strength and compassion. Truly a must read book.

I read this book when I was home raising my daughter, looking for inspiration from other mothers. I pick it up periodically, however, I found comfort in what other women had to say, especially then.
