1. The events in the plot that were the most significant are when Nancy finds clues. She finds notes that the suspect leaves and other important clues. Other significant parts in the story are when she talks to people to get information. An important part is when she solves the mystery in the end.
2. The setting of the book was important to the text. It was important to the story because it described the people who lived in it. The story takes place in Pennsylvania Dutch County. The people who live there are either Church amish or House amish. House amish people are a lot more strict. The suspect pretends to be an amish person when he is staying there.
3. One thing that I didn't like in the story was that they always thought that one certain person did it. I think it could've been better if they changed their minds or weren't always sure who committed the crime. Or if they suspected a person but in the end they weren't the one who did it.
4. An important word in the book is witch. Somebody leaves Nancy notes to try to get her to leave. One note says that witches are not wanted. Nancy shows the note to the people she is staying with and they think she is a real witch and don't want her staying with them. Word spreads across the town and people think Nancy is a real witch. ”
