Highly interesting overview of astrophysics and theoretical physics.

Michio Kaku is my favorite theoretical physicist. Michio Kaku takes you on a journey through not just our own universe but many other universes, some in which you may or may not exist.

Good. A more journalistic style is adopted here but it fits well with Kaku's personality. Worth a look here first if you are considering redaing Greene's FOTC ...

What a fantastic image of the universe this book invokes!

I've always been interested in space and the universe as we humans have come to interpret it, and this book surely paints an astounding and awe-inspiring vision of humanities scientific roots- where they were centuries ago, and how they've come to develop in modern time.

Wormholes, White holes, Time travel, extra dimensions and more, this book covers a plethora of mind-bending concepts.

A must read in my opinion...

If allowed to be compared with 'Cosmos' & 'Brief History of Time', this book was not as awe-inspiring. Part of it can be attributed to the reader's reduced interest in 'science - the proven' to 'greater sciences - the experiencially known'!

I just love this book. Nothing is more interesting and fascinating than Quantum Mechanics and String Theory. Conscious atoms, fate of our universe, putting all the information of the universe in a CD and then controlling it!! vibrating strings, making your own universe and traveling into it, wormholes, dark energy, anti matter which is pushed by gravity, the history of cosmology and stranger than fiction time travels and black holes..Its really an amazing experience when you come to know about such unbelievable and magical things which are completely different from our day to day experiences, the things we cant even imagine. Book contains a tremendous amount of topics, a must read.

Kaku did a great job simplifying seemingly complicated concepts into the words of an average reader.
