  “I feel that out of all of the Dark Tower books, that this was the toughest. My preoccupation with the "now" of the story took over my desire to get through the story quickly. Looking back at it, however, this story did need to be there. You learn so much more about Rolands beginnings and while you know he'll end up alive at the end of the story, you don't realize until the end of the story when things come together how well crafted the story is, and what it really means for the quest. I think now, after finishing the entire series, that I'd gladly go back another time to read this story separately from the others. ”
