Amazing from the first sentence to the end. I've rarely been this affected by a book.

While Kurt Vonnegut is my favourite author and has written countless classics, this has a very good chance of being my favourite book of all-time.

It's a gripping tale that blends magic realism among other genres, but don't be confused: this is about heartbreak. It's really emotional and sincere, even though it has a few "gimmicks." I love gimmicks, personally, but others might be turned off by the columns, blackened out text, etc.

The writing itself is imaginative and completely rock solid. Plascencia is an author to look out for, because if anything he writes after this is half as good as this, he will be a legend.

Fantastic, beautiful and sad... like "one hundred years of solitude" but with more machinery and modern strife. I will read this again and again.

amazing! such an "out-of-the-box" thinking book. any comment on this would be a spoiler, but watch out for the narrative styles and the page layouts. it all makes sense finally.

pure art, that's what I'd say

This is such an original piece of work. If anybody reads this I suggest that they get the hardcover to totally appreciate the creativity. And be ever so careful not to get a paper cut.

This is one of the most creative books I've ever read. Every aspect is extraordinary. From the cover art and typography to the narrative style. it's really pushing the envelope.

Like House of Leaves, this is where I would love to see fiction go. That kind of mesmerizing and disjointed literature that truly takes you to another place. This book is a significant first work for Plascencia.

The way this book is written is truly captivating. I have never read anything like it. The author includes himself as a character and his characters are well aware that he is "watching" (aka creating) them. But, the metaphors and subtext of the work are really what make it worth reading. Plascencia was wrongfully overlooked.

Genius view of love and how it effects and prompts art.
