It is an anthology so it is uneven. Some of it is boring and some of it is inspiring. May favorites were essays by Nelson Mandela and Saul Alinsky.

This book contains inspiring anecdotes of inspiration and hope. With tons of negative influences around, this book reminds you of the true triumphs of humans.

It does that a while to read this book. I would start it and put it down for about 6 months. However, my copy is thoroughly highlighted due to the inspirational lessons of life that can be learned.

I still have not finished this book. I pick it up every once in a while and find a new jewel inside. I guess I look at it like Forest Gump looks at a box of chocolates. You never know what you will find inside. There are great tidbits in very small but intricately written essays on life and finding hope in the slightest situation. Nelson Mandela, Alice Walker, Martin Luther King, Jonathan Kozol and Maya Angelou are just a few of the authors who contributed to the anthology of words to help those who are feeling helpless and discouraged in the world of today.
