The writing is so rich in this book that I savored every turn of phrase. This book slowed my reading in a pleasurable way.

The book started out good, but it just kept dragging on. The problem I think it suffers from is the intellectual style it's written in. I think half of chapter 3 is the characters quoting poetry to one another to inspire themselves or something. Maybe it works for some people, but I got tired of it and quit reading it.
