“I really enjoyed the coastal Oregon setting of this romantic suspense. Hannah Harte, whose family vacations in the small Oregon town of Eclipse Bay, is a successful wedding planner, but has not had much luck in the romance department herself. Rafe Madison grew up in Eclipse Bay, has done well for himself, but like Hannah, cannot seem to find the right one. The Harte and Madison families have been feuding for several generations; however, Hannah and Rafe did share one kiss eight years earlier that neither of them can seem to forget. Hannah's great aunt was determined to put an end to the feud by uniting Hannah and Rafe permanently. When she died, she willed her huge home to both of them. It is now up to Hannah and Rafe to determine their fates. There is also the small matter of someone trying to silence Rafe and Hannah regarding an incident that occurred in the past, the same night they shared their first and only kiss. ”

The suspense plot builds slowly but surely toward a conclusion and while this aspect of the story is enjoyable, it fizzles at the end.
Rafe and Hannah have good chemistry and their romance is believable.
The best aspect of the book is the dialogue and the character development, particularly Rafe's grandfather and the town eccentric - Arizona Snow.
The family feud could have been better developed but I'm looking forward to the next book.

“This series ties in with the Arcane Society. There are mild hints at characters that have unusual sences. The main theme is the romance between two families from opposite sides of the "tracks."”

“Pretty good mystery part...u knew right away that they would end up together and now Gabe and her sister will be the next hook up in the 2nd book. Love the Dog Winston.
