Although it was far from one of my favorite books, I did remain interested until the end. I grew to like the main character and her hectic family.”

This novel is, like many others, populated by people you've nearly met. The heroine, as in Breathing Lessons, is a little too cheerful. the supporting characters are idiosyncratic but not cartoonish. And you miss these people when it's over, not because you really want to get to know them, but because you already do. Grade: A- (because Patch was too one-note.)”

I like the evolution of Rebecca and her acceptance of where life has led her, after reflecting on the choices she has made.”

And as it turns out, sometimes, who we've become is exactly who we were meant to be. ”
