Didn’t Like It

I wish I could say this was a wonderful read, but when I read it, I immediately saw the movie on PBS, and I'm afraid this is the story that tipped me away from mysteries (except for Miss Marple) and headlong into Annie Dillard's kind of natural, exuberant and worshipful prose. I'm sure P.D.James is first-class at what she does/did, but a world of sociopathic violence reflected in a literature of sociopathic violence is no longer my idea of living. Sorry!
