When Krystyna Olczak was killed by a train a family was left behind. There were two girls, Anne and Lucy, and their father, Eddie. All were connected to St. Joseph's parochial school - the girls were pupils and their dad was the janitor. The nuns were of the Order of St. Benedict and their lives were separate from others - the Holy Rule and their Constitution were everything, but Sister Regina was different. She couldn't obey those rules when it came to feeling sympathy and touching those girls, and when it came to their father her feelings were becoming harder to put aside.

As time went on Sister Regina's dissatisfaction with her calling and her feelings for Eddie were now becoming intrusive to her life in the convent and she had a decision to make. An occurrence with Anne triggered that dissatisfaction and it became prominent; Sister Regina acted on it. The Order had rules, rules that thwarted her letting Mr. Olczak in on what was happening. Her life changed a lot - but hopefully, happiness was on the other side of it all.

  • Romaine Olczak: One of Eddie's brothers, married to Rose. There were 14 children in the Olczak family.
