It's a good read. The characters are interesting enough and their development throughout the book was fun to follow. I enjoyed the way Haddon describes the main character growing increasingly insane. The ending was a bit weak, though. Nevertheless a fine way to spend your time.

I absolutely LOVED "The Curious Incident...". This I hated!!!! I could not finish it. I got 170 and called it quits.

Just finished reading it, and I'm surprised to find that I like it more than "The Curious Incident." Hilarious and touching. My copy was a birthday present rom my best friend, who knows that I like "The Curious Incident," though he didn't. Mark Haddon, you rock!

I heartily concur with Derek and Courtney. The Curious Incident is far more interesting. By comparison, this book is a bit disappointing,

The characters were great (I liked Jaime best) but the ending was too pat. The scissors part was amazingly wicked! Definitely worth the squirm.

Although this wasn't quite as good as "A Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" it was a lot more entertaining. There were a few moments where I felt like banging my head on the desk out of exasperation...but it was fun to see each character changing and accepting who they were and who their family was.
