A bag of money is thrown from a train and found by saintly Damian and his money obsessed brother Anthony. They have 17 days to spend it until it is worthless, since that is when the switch from pounds to Euros takes place. Just how easy will this be? A good lesson in human nature and the power of money. A bit too Catholic with lots of references to saints for most folks.

Ok. I lied. I didn't read it. I read about half of it and got bored. This was on my summer reading list. The narrator, an extremely religious fourth grade boy, felt like a fly in my ear, in all honesty. Very sorry if this insults anyone because of their faith... If you think that you'd find someone constantly talking about the patron saint of everything annoying, this books is not for you.
Fourth grader Damian Cunningham has just moved into a new house with his older brother and dad(their mother died recently).Damian knows the patron saint of...well, everything, and always mentions it.He wants nothing more in life than to become a saint. So when a huge bag full of millions of pounds drops at his feet, he wants to give it to the poor. But his older brother (5th grade) had other ideas- ideas of greed and buying.Whatever they do, they have to get rid of it quick. There's only seventeen days left until all of England switches to Euros, and they can't use the money any more. But they also have to keep from being found out.

A duffle bag full of English pound notes falls out of a train and lands at Damian's feet- well it is an answer to his prayers...Suddenly the Cunningham's are rich- but that can't tell anyone about it- not their dad because he will have to tell the tax men or anyone else because the money had to belong to someone right?! But how do you spend that kind of cash quickly without raising any suspicions...see they need to spend the money in the next 17 days before all the banks switch over to the Euro...

Boyce's book isn't that big of a deal: you'll read it and not remember much of it for very long afterward. That's not to say it's bad. In fact, it's pretty good. Without giving too much away, it's a heist story set in England with devotion to religion.
