  • Aaron Boone: Throughout his life Aaron had troubling dreams about monsters, when he discovered the underground city Mideon he found his dreams were a reality. And that he too was a monster.
  • Lori: Boones lover who after his apparent death is dragged into the world of the nightbreed.
  • Peloquin: One of the denizens of Midian, Peloquin is one of the more adventurous and powerful members of the Nightbreed able to change into a bigger, stronger version of himself.
  • Narcisse: Demon member of the Nightbreed with a mean sense of humor. He beleive he has a hidden face under his human one.
  • Shuna Sassi: Member of the Nightbreed. Shuna is covered in hundreds of poisonous barbs, and in the early 20th century she worked as a prostitute in a bordello. Many of her clients did not survive the experience, especially the ones that annoyed her.
  • Decker: Boones doctor who is in reality a serial killer and self proclained destroyer of the Nightbreed who dons the mask of buttonface.
