“this is the very first book i read by anne tyler. first, i was intrigued with the title. but when i read it made me fell in love with it. anne tyler has this way of making the what our society often mistaken as "losers" and making them heroes, or understand, that somehow in some point we are just like them. and she also has this way of making you sympathize to them, even for the often very simple things for us, like opening that door and going outside. when jeremy did that, it's a big triumph for him! this is the book that made me read anne tyler's books. well, i just like all of anne tyler's books. ”

“This is one of Anne Tyler's early books I read it many years ago and totally loved it. There was just something about it that grabbed me at that time. In fact I believe I read it three or four times! Maybe it's time to read it agaiin and see how I feel about it now.”
