Bass Reeves becomes a U.S. Marshall. This story has the spirit to it of Pecos Bill and other tall tale characters. I finished the book not being sure whether he actually existed or not, but thoroughly enjoyed all of his adventures.

This was a very good book it was about a slave named Bass and about how his life and when he got older and became a sheriff and was the best at bringing in outlaws. The only thing I didn't not like about it was it had some cus words in it so I wouldn't recommend it. I really wish he would have left them out it would have been a really good book for any ages.
