Bachelor degrees are not about enlightenment, they're about intellectual hazing with endless problem sets, extending adolescence by partying and ultimately fulfilling a check box for some pinhead bureaucrat in corporate Human Resources. Janitors don't need degrees, neither do small-business owners. The trades are legitimate and not everyone can be well-off.

Excellent read. I thought I wanted to be a teacher, but this book makes me question my beliefs about [public] education. Sucky thing is my son will be old enough for kindergarten in two years.
