“Good story. Kept me interested. Written in true Mary Higgins Clark style!”

Being from New Jersey, I was able to relate to a lot of the towns mentioned in the story even though I have not visited all of them. The plot moves quickly, and while some parts of the mystery are obvious from the beginning, there is a twist to the end that really comes as a surprise.”

I found this book to be a real heart tug. I would think that the protagonist would have connected the dots to her past but the antagonsts were purely evil and yet in a small town that is exactly how people would treat a poor child who shot her mother and her estanged husban. It realy is the smae way in so mant small towns today. Very believable.”

I like it when the story started slow then as it reaches the end, the story is at its full speed. It's kinda cute how it ended despite its suspense nature having the lead character not thoroughly wasted on what she had gone through. I wonder though what happened to Marcella, Dru and Detective Walsh as the story ends.”
