Deliciously written, but I do find I've somewhat outgrown the poetic fluff style.

Deliciously descriptive and full of poetic ecstasy and tragedy; a little firecracker of a novel with perspective shifts and plot twists worthy of a David Lynch film.

Never read this one, but it looks good. Loved to read FLB books in my teenage desolation... and a little beyond that. I still enjoy them and would like to own them someday.

Great metaphors, and a great quick-read

This... isn't a good book. Too much purple prose and characters! It gets confusing. And the purple prose made it cheesy. It should have an edge like 'Violet & Claire' did. Turned me off to read the rest of Block's books.

Once more Francesca has taken the reader and created a world that is the luminescence seen over the world they know. It's that bright light hiding in the shadows of reality.

I liked this book, but it was a little confusing. I had to list out the characters and draw arrows to connect them in order to appreciate the complexity of this book. I also really loved the names of the characters. By far though, the book could have been about anything and I still would be in awe of the intertwining and the connections between all the characters.

I would have liked it more if i read it before Weetzie Bat. It was still really good, but it wasn't as good as weetzie.
