The Amelia Peabody series is starting to feel comfortable. I am getting used to each character's quirks, and I'm getting used to the pace of the novels. Honestly, I've not found #2 and #3 to be as all-consuming as #1, but a lot has changed since #1. Amelia now works with her husband instead of traveling with Evelyn, as in #1, and she and Emerson have their own distinctive rapport. And in this installment, their son, Ramses, tags along. His lisp is VERY distracting, so I hope that's gone...

This book was probably enjoyable when I read it (because I read another one) but even though it hasn't been very long since I read it, I can hardly remember it. It didn't stick with me.
