Characters edit see section history

  • Susannah Simon: Also known as 'Suze'; a Mediator -- someone who can communicate with dead people and sends them off into the 'next life.' Lives with her mother, step-dad and three step brothers in Carmel, California
  • Andy Ackerman: Suze's stepdad, a great cook and DIY man
  • Helen Ackerman: Suze's mum, a popular newswoman
  • Jesse de Silva: A hot ghost from the 1800's, he hangs around Suze's house, which was where he was killed. He is one of Suze's best friends, and is her crush.
  • Father Dominic: Principal of the Juniperro Serra Mission Academy, the school where Suze and her brothers attend. Also a mediator
  • Paul Slater: He's another mediator, and a pretty strong one, too. His powers go beyond the normal seeing-ghosts thing, if you can call that normal. He tries to convince Suze that her job isn't to help ghosts after all, and that she should use her powers as he does, mainly when it's to his advantage. He also has a crush on Suze.
  • Jake "Sleepy" Ackerman: Real name Jake, he's Suze's older step-brother, nicknamed Sleepy because that's how he seems all the time, lazy and uninterested. He has a job delivering pizza in order to save money for a new car.
  • Brad "Dopey" Ackerman: Another of Suze's step-brothers, he's Suze's age. His nickname is Dopey because, well, that's sort of how he acts.
  • David "Doc" Ackerman: Suze's younger step-brother, he's smart, funny, and also happens to be Suze's favorite among her siblings. His real name is David.
  • Ceecee Webb: One of Suze's best friends.
  • Craig Jankow: Ghost who died in a sailing accident. Blames his brother Neil.
  • Neil Jankow: Jealous of his brother Craig. Regrets what happend on the "catamaran" (sail boat).
